Tony has a varied and interesting background with experience
primarily gained in Loss Adjusting, the Military,
Services, Consulting, Law and Insurance Broking. He has worked for
leading companies including
Legal & General, American Express,
Chancery Law Group and Towergate, and has a wide range of
He pioneered placing mortgage brokers in estate agents, helped to
set up the UK's first mainstream fee based financial planning
business, co-founded the UK's first deregulated law firm, and has
done much to popularise the benefits of holistic risk management as
well as resilience and continuity planning.
Tony has helped to raise well over £1m from private investors for
start-ups, and is an active networker with many high-level contacts.
He is an accomplished public speaker and has delivered keynote
addresses at Lloyds of London and Lincoln’s Inn and is the subject
of a Cranfield MBA thesis on Entrepreneurship. He has written for
professional publications and national newspapers, and is often
asked for comment. By way of ‘putting back’, Tony donates some of
his time giving a ‘real world’ view of business to youngsters about
to enter the workplace.
Tony is a member of the Business Continuity Institute and the
Chartered Insurance Institute. He also provides expert advice
as an ACEVO consultant.
